Swahili dater searching for a lady
Very many places one can get someone to marry from,several tribes from which to get a lady,so I decided to search for a lady from tribe located at the western end of the country called Kenya.
These people are called the Bukusu,a subtribe of the main Luhya tribe.Their ladies are nice and i was so taken up i decided to chase after one for a serious relationship.
The hitch one finds is when it all comes to marriage.There are just too many things one has to offer the girls family on demand.This usually depends on the girl's level of education as well.
One has to give out a standard amount of thirteen heifers of which each goes for about 10,000 Kshs ($125),around 20,000Kshs for the lady's mother as a gift for toiling with her.
The girl in question had reached university level,so for that one has to pay something like 100,000 Kshs ($1250) for that reason.
All this on top of other gifts like kilos of sugar,salt,cooking oil,garments....would bring my bill to about 500,000 Kshs ($6250).
If one is to be able to pay all this at once and he does so,he'll be considered evil.
All these combinations made me give up my pursuit and look to another end.

Lovely language!
Some people may not even know what swahili is,but it is a such a wonderful,lovely language.This language is spoken throughout East Africa,the most fluent speakers being those living in Tanzania,Zanzibar and Kenya.
Lovely,romantic swahili tunes have been composed like malaika which has been sung in a number of languages.I actually get to belt out the tune and am amazed at how it can't lose it's appeal.
When i was younger,i remember michael jackson belting out some love tune Liberian Girl,in swahili.His tune went like:Nakupenda pia,nakutaka pia,mpenzi wee! translated:I love too,i need you too,my love.I bet people rocked to this number without actually taking note of the romance that was within it!
When i first hit on a girl,i remember using this language.It was all about mapenzi or love,and i told her nataka uwe wangu,translated;i want you to be mine.I think that words have different intensities according tob the language in use.I could successfully get a lady using swahili but fail to get her when using English!Ha!ha!
People who live within this swahili speaking region have developed other versions of this language called sheng,it incorporates the use of swahili mixed with a bit of English and some local languages.
It is popular among the youth in Kenya mostly.So if i want to tell a lady that am so into her i'd say nimekunoki sana instead of nimejawa na mapenzi kwako!
Oh i think i'd better prepare for my next date now.Any comment?

I decided to take a peek at the dating section today and i just have plenty on my mind.Hmmh..Let's see..
The reason why we go all around with all the insecurities,jealousy,hatred and God knows what else,deeply embedded in us,is because of factors that that have taken years for you to acquire,and of course coupled with with the mentality with which you went through it.
This is what makes up the character called You!yes it's you am talking about.Ha!ha!.Ever met people who just do weird stuff and their only excuse is:"That's who i am"?Well, let's relate that to marriage.
Believe what you want,but your past has cast such a huge shadow upon your present,life that everything you do is as a result of that.Think so?!Ok,just look at the things you hold precious right now,inckuding your spouse or date.What criteria did you use to arrive at that?
My hand is up!I can answer that..Do you remember that nasty heartbreak you had that made you change so drastically,no-one could notice you anymore?Well,how about the single parent that was missing in your life?Did you not start looking at life in a different perspective from your peers?...
Are we getting somewhere?I dare say,the dark side of your life(And very few people lack one)runs your present life in such a passive manner you may not notice it at all.
Let me now get it more simpler before you start thinking that am another Einstein writing crazy stuff(well my mind's telling me am crazy to just tell all this..).The next time your spouse does the crazy things,please will you tactfully get them to tell you what part in their life hurt them that much.
Ouch!I have to go for now,i intend to spill more tomorrowWell,who says yes to that?Come on hit me!
